Information Collected by the Website

The Notegrity website (https://notegrity.com) collects minimal information necessary to operate the site and understand general usage.

Analytics

The website uses Plausible Analytics to measure website traffic and usage trends.

Plausible Analytics is an open-source, privacy-focused analytics platform designed to collect aggregate statistics without tracking individuals.

Plausible does not:

  • Collect personally identifiable information

The Notegrity Application

The Notegrity desktop application is designed with privacy as a core feature.

Notegrity is a local-first application.

All notes created within the application are stored locally on the user’s device as plain text files.

Notes remain entirely under the user’s control and are not stored on any Notegrity servers.

No Data Collection

The Notegrity application does not collect or transmit any personal data.

Specifically, the application does not collect:

  • Analytics data

  • Telemetry

  • Usage metrics

  • Behavioral tracking data

The application does not send any information about your activity back to the developer.

No Cloud Uploading

The Notegrity application does not upload notes or user content to any server.

All note storage and management occurs locally on the user’s device.

No Tracking

Notegrity does not track user behavior or activity.

Your writing habits, note content, and usage patterns remain private to you.

Encryption

Notegrity includes an optional encryption feature.

If encryption is enabled:

  • Notes are encrypted locally on the user’s device

  • Encryption occurs before the note is written to disk

  • Encryption keys remain under the user’s control

No encryption keys or encrypted content are transmitted to external servers.

Data Retention

Information collected through the website is retained only as long as necessary for operational purposes.

Examples include:

  • Analytics data used to understand website traffic

  • Email correspondence for support inquiries

  • Mailing list subscriptions

Users may request removal of their information at any time.
